I have taken many of Amy’s beautiful courses in the last year and every time I feel like I get to know myself better and connect with more inspiring ladies. Amy’s newest offering, the Dream Lab, is something that I am SO looking forward to! And it’s the perfect match for Feathering the Nest too. There is beauty and magic when we look deep inside to connect with our dreams, and then find the many ways that we can manifest these desires when we feel nurtured by our physical space.
Skip down to the bottom to see how to enter, but first, I think you’ll love hearing what Amy had to say when I asked her a few questions!
Leah: In the Dream Lab you talk about the power of friendship and soul mates to make things happen. How has that worked in your own life?
Amy: I want to live in Paris half of each year and make a living writing and creating labs and experiences for women to tap into their creative fire. Paris is my place! My husband and I have spent many month or two long summers there and feel at home in the parks, walking and walking, going to museums and food markets and just soaking up the architecture and people watching. We just spent this May there with our 3 kids and they have caught the bug too! I feel like there is a real possibility my family can do this if we stay focused! Fingers crossed!Leah: How do you stay inspired to keep creating while staying present for your family and friends?Amy: Luckily, I find inspiration easily. I make sure to carry a journal with me at all time so I can jot any idea or inkling that might bubble up. I enjoy exploring and creating alongside my children. Their perspectives and passions have taught me as much if not more than what I learned in college. My goal is to create a household full of artists and creators – like a family atelier, where we are all working and influencing each other. Leah: What is your favorite room in the house, and what is the story of your favorite object in that room?
Amy: My favorite room is our new master bath. It is the last room in our old, rambling home that we renovated. It has a claw foot tub, marble walls and floor and a skylight. So, you can lay in the tub and watch the clouds and birds go by!!
A handful of mementos that are kept in the bathroom are among my favorites objects. There are a few framed black and white photographs from Paris and Prague as well as a beautiful pink barnacle cluster I found on the beach. Oh! Also, we have this beautiful old pieces of salvaged wood that sits across the tub and makes it into an instant writing spot!
Leave a comment telling us why you would like to participate in these classes.
That is it! Amy and I will each pick a winner this Friday, September 27th.
